Privacy policy
Privacy policy
This policy explains how Nuvel collects, uses and protects your personal information when you visit our website or place an order. We handle your data lawfully and transparently under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
Who we are
Nuvel is a UK-based clothing brand, operated as a sole trader. For the purposes of UK data protection law, we are the data controller responsible for your personal information. You can contact us at any time at hello@nuvel.uk. Our postal address is available on request.
What we collect
- Identity and contact details — your name, delivery and billing address, email address and, if you provide it, phone number.
- Order information — the items you buy, order value and order history.
- Payment information — processed securely by our payment provider. We do not see or store your full card details.
- Communications — messages you send us by email or chat.
- Technical and usage data — device, browser and how you use our site, collected through cookies and similar technologies, and only where you have given consent.
How we use your information, and our legal bases
- To process and deliver your orders, and handle returns and refunds — necessary to perform our contract with you.
- To take payment — necessary to perform our contract, through our payment provider.
- To provide customer service and respond to your messages — our legitimate interest in helping you, and to perform our contract.
- To send marketing emails — only with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
- To understand and improve our site through analytics and advertising tools — only with your consent, given through our cookie banner.
- To meet our legal, accounting and tax obligations — necessary for compliance with the law.
Who we share it with
We share your information only with the service providers who help us run Nuvel, and only with what they need. We never sell your personal data. They include:
- Shopify — our online store platform and payment provider (Shopify Payments). Shopify hosts our website, processes orders, and handles card payments on our behalf.
- Our production and fulfilment partners — currently Inkthreadable and Printful. We share your name and delivery address so your order can be made and dispatched. Inkthreadable produces and dispatches within the United Kingdom. Printful operates internationally, including within the EU and the US.
- Delivery couriers — we share your name and delivery address so your order can be delivered to you.
- Judge.me — our product reviews provider. If you leave a review, it processes the name and email address you provide.
- Klaviyo — our email marketing provider. If you subscribe to our emails, it processes your email address and name to send the messages you have asked for.
- Consentmo — our cookie consent tool, which records your cookie preferences.
- Analytics and advertising providers — Google (Google Analytics), Meta and TikTok. Their cookies and pixels only run if you accept them through our cookie banner, and help us measure and improve our site and marketing.
International transfers
Some of our service providers are based outside the United Kingdom. Where your personal data is transferred outside the UK, we make sure it is protected by appropriate safeguards recognised under UK data protection law — such as a UK adequacy decision, or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement (or the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses). We do not transfer your data outside the UK without such protection in place.
How long we keep your information
We keep your personal information only for as long as necessary for the purposes set out above — including to fulfil your order, handle any returns, and meet our legal, accounting and tax obligations. Where you have subscribed to marketing, we keep your details until you unsubscribe.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you;
- ask us to correct information that is wrong or incomplete;
- ask us to delete your data, where there is no overriding legal reason to keep it;
- restrict or object to how we use your data;
- ask for a copy of your data in a portable format;
- withdraw your consent at any time, where we rely on consent.
To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@nuvel.uk. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK data protection regulator, at ico.org.uk.
Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies to run our site and, with your consent, to measure usage and support marketing. Non-essential cookies only load after you accept them. You can review and change your choices at any time through the cookie banner on our site.
Children
Nuvel is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16.

We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page.
