Terms of service

Terms of service

These terms govern your use of nuvel.uk and any order you place with us. Please read them carefully. By using our website or placing an order, you accept these terms. They should be read alongside our Privacy policy, Shipping information, Returns policy and Refund policy.

Who we are

Nuvel is a UK-based clothing brand, operated as a sole trader. You can contact us at any time at hello@nuvel.uk. Our postal address is available on request.

How a contract is formed

When you place an order, you are making an offer to buy. We will send you an order confirmation email to acknowledge that we have received your order — this is an acknowledgement, not acceptance. A binding contract is formed only when we dispatch your order (or email to confirm dispatch). Until then, we may decline or cancel an order — for example if an item is unavailable, if there has been an obvious pricing or description error, or if we are unable to fulfil it — and we will refund any payment taken in full.

Prices and payment

Prices are shown in pounds sterling (GBP) on the product page, and the price that applies is the one shown at the time you order. Any delivery charge is shown clearly at checkout before you pay. We accept secure card payment through Shopify Payments; your card details are handled by our payment provider and we do not see or store them. If we discover an obvious error in the price of something you have ordered, we will contact you and may cancel and refund the order.

Our products

We sell clothing for men and women. Many of our pieces are made to order and dispatched from the United Kingdom. We describe our products as accurately as we can, and each product page sets out its sizing and fabric composition. Please note that colours may vary slightly from how they appear on your screen, and small natural variations are normal in made and finished garments. These do not make a product faulty.

Delivery

We currently sell and deliver within the United Kingdom only, and every order is dispatched from the UK. Full details of where we deliver, delivery timings and costs are set out on our Shipping page.

Returns, cancellation and refunds

If something isn't right, we'll make it right. How to return an item, who pays for return postage, and how refunds work are set out in full on our Returns policy and Refund policy. In short, you have 30 days from delivery to return an unworn item in its original condition, in addition to your legal rights below.

Your consumer rights

Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

  • Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, the goods we supply must be as described, fit for purpose, and of satisfactory quality. If they are not, you may be entitled to a repair, replacement or refund.
  • Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you have the right to cancel most online orders within 14 days of receiving your goods, and a further 14 days to return them.

Using our website

You may use our website only for lawful purposes. You agree not to misuse it — for example by attempting to gain unauthorised access, introducing malicious code, scraping content, or interfering with how the site works. We may suspend or withdraw access to the site if you breach these terms.

Intellectual property

All content on this website — including the Nuvel name and logo, our designs, text, images and layout — is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property law. You may not copy, reproduce, or use our content or brand for commercial purposes without our prior written permission.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable, or for losses arising from your failure to follow reasonable instructions. We do not exclude or limit our liability where it would be unlawful to do so — this includes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, and for any of your statutory rights as a consumer, which always apply.

Events outside our control

We are not responsible for delays or failures to fulfil an order caused by events outside our reasonable control. Where this happens, we will let you know and do what we reasonably can to limit the effect.

Governing law

These terms and any dispute arising from them are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you are a consumer resident in another part of the United Kingdom, you may also bring proceedings in the courts of the part of the UK in which you live.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version that applies to your order is the one published on this page at the time you placed it.
